The challenge
Independent hotels compete with booking platforms that charge a commission on every stay. To win direct bookings, the hotel's own site has to rank for searches in both languages, answer the questions guests ask before booking, and make booking the easiest next step.
What I built
- Two full language versions. French for Quebec and English, connected with hreflang so Google shows each guest the right one.
- Hotel structured data. Hotel schema with star rating, price range, address and map coordinates, plus FAQPage schema for check-in, breakfast, parking and location answers.
- Content that ranks for the trip, not just the hotel. Room pages, the neighbourhood and metro access, breakfast and bar, concierge, 48-hour city guides, upcoming events in Montreal and a monthly journal.
- Design that sells the stay. Video hero, heritage photography, clear room comparison and a booking call to action in every section.
- Built for AI answers. Short, direct answers that AI assistants can quote when travellers ask where to stay in the Latin Quarter.
Where it stands
The site is built and ready for launch. I will add traffic and booking data here once it has been live long enough to measure, because I only publish results that come from real data.
What this means for your business
If you run a hotel, a restaurant or any business with guests from other countries, your website can bring bookings in more than one language. The structure matters as much as the design: separate language versions, the right schema and answers to the questions guests actually ask.
